GOLDEN SHOES, a feel good movie for the whole family starring Dina Meyer, Eric Roberts, David DeLuise, Christian Koza, Montel Williams, Vivica A. Fox & John Rhys-Davies, debuts on DVD and On Demand October 6 from Anchor Bay Entertainment, which is now in its 20th year.
About movie:
As long as he could remember, eight-year-old Christian Larou (Christian Koza) dreamed of being a great soccer player like his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. When his father is deployed to Afghanistan and his mother is hospitalized, he pours himself into the game he loves. With the help of some very special shoes, can Christian lead his team to the championship, inspire an entire nation, and bring his family together again?
My thoughts:
I felt this was an amazing movie for the entire family. The young boy Christian longs to fill his life long dream while still being on top of his family in times of sickness, health and absence. The array of actors involved in this film really set this movie in action(as I am not a Montel fan I felt he played a significant member of the cast) and gave it the depth to keep my families interest. The Golden Shoes do not lead his team to victory but instead his heart and mind do but I love the portrail of something magical in his minds idea of sadness and way to overcome. If you believe it will come true.
