**LEGO KidsFest**Part2 The LEGO Party!!**#sponsored

LEGO KidsFest minifigureLEGO KidsFestLEGO 2013 minifigure

Ohh my gosh what an amazing time we had!! This was so much more than I could have ever imagined it to be:) The drive was the hardest part for 4.5 hours, then the parking $7 all day pass and finally the smiling faces of LEGO kids.
We were at the San Jose Convention Center of which I have never been to in my life. Parking was either in the parking garage or the public parking across the street(tight spaces so beware) but ample parking for this kind of activity. The Convention Center had multiple levels with an escalator as well as stairs. The fest was well labeled and signs posted everywhere(SOLD OUT). Our visit was not until 4pm so when we arrived we were surprised to see a couple hundred people waiting to get in ahead of us.
souvenier Tshirt and crown free for attendees

We entered after some cheering and yelling and the LEGO craziness began. It was so full of people and kids everywhere, LEGOs in every shape and size, activities for many ages, challenges, prizes and lets not forget the shopping.
**You walk in and see a lost child booth for those kids that get away from the mom alot of security to protect the little people and lots of people to assist reuniting those with the parents.**
The structures are amazing, so unique and well made and able to be touched just not climbed on I can only imagine how many pictures took of each one. Some were characters others were buildings, some were built by professionals(master builders) others built by kids, some using LEGO little blocks others using Duplo...each had a character of its own.

yep it roaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrred :)TNMT

My kids loved the" brick pit" just piles and piles of LEGOs scattered all over to climb or build while Duplo had a section itself for the little builders. My kids took turns in each just putting LEGOs together randomly because that's how they do things.

The gift shops were...WOW!!!!! They had everything you could think of LEGO wise, boards to build on, retired sets, hard to find sets and Up and coming sets. We shall just say my kids each picked a couple and then I picked a couple for Christmas presents and we will just say I can almost bet we have sets others don't have. Don't forget T shirts a must have for my kids and something to remember the trip by. (After a bank Fiasco I managed to finally get my purchases completed and makes me think maybe I need to find another bank.) **Downfall paying for the bags to carry your stuff with not even a free LEGO bag for spending $350+**
ohh yeah Batman Mr E inside shark:)

We participated in a few challenges which were very rewarding to the kids, rewards were abundant here and my kids racked them in as did others. We started off at the Spongebob Relay and the kids build a LEGO crabby patty after the relay they earned a LEGO set. They did the Chima and earned a Chima set after putting the rip cord in and getting 4 across the table. Mine also build a model of a (whatever speaker chose) box and won another set just for particiapting. We added LEGO crowns, magazines, stickers, posters and more to the list of items we brought home and of course enough to share with Mr E's friends.

Honestly this was a trip to remember for the kids it was exciting, fun and full of life so many things to see and do and a limited amount of time to enjoy them.

We were scheduled from 4-8:30 but by 7:30 I was having to carry Mr E so we departed and headed to the car. Traffic on the 101 was terrible thanks to CalTrans working on a major intersect of the freeway :(
