I enjoy keeping my kids active and think that exercise and athletics are a huge part of growing up and teaches them patience and teamwork. I think that kids preparing for any activity requires stretching and plenty of it so they don't injure themselves from over exertion and it can be done alone or in a group.

I had the privilege of reviewing the Aurorae Classic Yoga Mat
it ships completely sealed in plastic and rolled tight, no flaws or imperfections noted:) The original is 1/4 inch thick, non slip memory foam
and it is a perfect thickness to prevent injuries to knees we all know the thickness matters when it comes to comfort. Because it is memory foam it does leave the indentations in the mat at time of use but the indents do disappear quickly, it just shows how it can conform to any body style or type. Is this good for yoga..YES, that is if you are looking for the thickness and ability to use it in multiple locations. For the purpose of the review I did use it exclusively in my home, my kids were my display(because I snap pics and they were the ones to use it). This mat can be used inside or outside on multiple surfaces.
This mat is free from phthalates, silicone and latex and 100% toxin free guaranteed. The mat is sticky and easy to work with and durable for all ages. Because I needed to have multiple kids try it out to get the feel for the texture and feel of the foam and the ease of use I used from small to teen as my examples.
My daughter is in ballet, tap and dance as well as an aspiring soccer player(so she says) she was one that I felt needed to use it for her stretches and exercises she is the youngest and lightest weight and has the most active day. She enjoyed the feel and touch to her hands and feet, the texture prevented and slips and falls and she had no issues with slipping.
My second subject has an awkward gate(he was a preemie w complications) so he does stretches and he is playing in sports to build up some muscles. He stretches daily at home and is active at school. He liked that the mat was spongy and left his handprint. I did not notice any slipping from his use and he tried on multiple occasions doing many exercises.
My last subject is my older son(not oldest) he has multiple disabilities and has cerebral palsy so his exercises are more recurrent and more for stretching hands,arms, legs and feet. He is 6ft tall and about 140 lbs which is about the size of a average adult(give or take). He is active in high school sports as well as bowling and baseball. He did the most and longest use on the mat, he was comfortable in a sitting and squatting position, his knees were not receiving excessive pressure, his elbows were receiving equal feel not uneven or rough in any position. His feet stayed position and I did not notice any slipping and he does have considerable stability and balance problems.
We used it on carpet and with each subject it was noted that none had a slip problem. We all know that excessive wear and tear can create differences in these mats. The company does provide a rosin to be applied if you have a problem with your mat being a slip issue and its as simple as contacting them for it. The mats are easy to clean, machine washable on delicate and air dry(not dryer) though I would recommend just a soft brush and water with a little non oil based soap or detergent works best.
